With Mike starting a new job and Kelsey going back to graduate school the week of the wedding, this couple knew that not only would they have to keep costs down, but stress levels as well. To keep costs down they dug into DIY projects like the ceremony backdrop of old shutters with their vows hand written on a windowpane that now hangs in their home. They decorated mason jars with chalkboard hearts as favors, picked wild flowers for the tables, and made homemade sweets including the wedding cake! Adding a very personal touch, Kelsey’s blush was made from her mother’s wedding veil. All of us at Rustic Wedding Chic love the thoughtful touches that added such personality to Mike and Kelsey’s wedding which kept a real focus on the marriage they were entering into and the family and friends who were there to celebrate with them.
