A farm wedding is always special but for this bride getting to say “I do” on her own family farm was a dream come true. Combining element of a classic country style wedding with elegant wedding details and adding a festive pink color pallet are just a few of the details that make this wedding a winner. From the photographer: This farm wedding in Northern Michigan was like nothing I’d ever seen before. The bride and her family spent the year before the wedding transforming their farm into a wedding venue. The eight foot tall corn, lined with cosmos and zinnias provided amazing “walls” for the venue, and the ceremony took place on a tranquil pond. When guests arrived, they parked in a hay field, and then walked or rode in a golf cart the quarter mile through a tunnel of corn towards the red barn. From there, guests felt like they were miles away from the outside world, transported to an intimate pink and white fantasy land, complete with hand-painted signs, white doves, and twinkling lights. Thanks to Red Shoes Photography for sharing this beautiful wedding with us today.
I loved the mismatched antique china that the bride collected, and the table filled with mountains of cookies in the barn, conveniently located right next to the dancing area. At the end of the night, guests were treated to a spectacular fireworks show, sealing in the magic of the day.
