Taking place at the Bally Spring Inn, a rustic style wedding venue in Pennsylvania, this wedding teams up the rustic chic look with a fairytale vintage look all in one. I love how this bride took the time to thrift for pieces for her wedding so that the look of the wedding would reflect her style perfectly. From the bride: A few months after Simon and I were engaged, we started looking at venues, we wanted a rustic place away from the city. Both of us have lived in Philadelphia for almost ten years so we wanted to pick a venue that would be like a relaxing weekend getaway for our guests. We looked at 5 different venues but Bally Spring Inn fit our personalities the best. We loved the dance floor in the barn and the beautiful grounds. On top of this they are are bed and breakfast with 12 rooms for the bridal party and family to stay in for the wedding weekend – this was really the amenity that sold us. Thanks to Birds of a Feather for shooting this amazing wedding and sharing it with us.
My mom and I thrifted for months prior to the wedding for all of the milk glass, brass candlesticks and candle holders used for the centerpieces. Going to vintage stores and flea markets is something we already enjoy doing so it was fun for have a certain type of item we were looking for. While we were looking we also found other ceramic vintage floral vases and dishes that I used to decorate the wedding. Also all of the lace used on the runners were vintage pieces that we found at a vintage store in Quakertown, PA. The manager at Bally Spring Inn rented the vintage floral plates which went perfectly with my theme. Only after a month or two of being engaged I started to look through bridal magazines and blogs and I saw some brides using wood farm tables, from then on I knew I wanted to use them as well. They complimented my rustic theme so I felt like I needed them or my vision wouldn’t be complete.
