Lakeside Cabin Wedding: Judi + Paul

Bride and Groom at Lakeside Cabin

The setting for this lovely July wedding was the bride’s family cabin. The ceremony took place on top of the boat house, looking out on the beautiful lake. The arbor, built by a friend, was made of birch logs and decorated with a spray of gorgeous flowers and topped off with antlers. The bride wore a vintage dress that had been redesigned for a more modern silhouette. The small ceremony & reception, with just the immediate family, featured a casual lunch with sandwiches and homemade cookies. It was decorated with flowers from the local farmers market and mismatched china pieces collected from thrift shops. We love the simple beauty of this lakeside ceremony and the laid-back reception, including the beloved family dog as well as a kick-ball game with the groom and his young guests. And what a wonderful idea to host a open house reception that evening to celebrate with family and friends at the beautiful Edina Country Club in Edina, Minnesota. Thanks to Erin Johnson Photography for sharing this intimate family wedding with us. Love the idea of a lakeside ceremony?
