A rustic style elopement can be one of the most magical styles of weddings. Understated in its festivities yet filled with grace and beauty is just a few of the reasons why we love these types of weddings and the one I have for you today will not disappoint! From the photographer: Jenna + Andrew were set to have a large wedding and do the whole shebang. Big venue, big bridal party, lots of DIY decor, large guest list, dancing, partying, etc. We booked their date for November and were ready to go. But as the stress piled on and issues arose, they started contemplating on eloping. Jenna + Andrew wanted to make sure their big day was about THEM and their love, and not party favors or dessert bars. So once they learned I was making a trip up to Seattle in June, they took it as a sign and dropped all wedding plans and decided to elope in the forrest. Which made my wedding photographer dreams come true! See more great rustic style elopements now. Thanks to Krista Ashely Photography for sharing this wedding.
Here are some tips on eloping from the bride: Document, Document, Document! Andrew and I had the best photog/video teams following us around all day long. Not only was it worth every penny, those photos and video is all you have left of this intimate moment you’re sharing with your husband. You will not regret forking out some extra dough to have a good photographer and videographer for your day. Don’t worry about making your family upset by choosing to elope. After all, your marriage is only between you and your husband. Although you might have some turned-up noses in the beginning, those people will come around to the idea slowly but surely, especially when they see how happy you are! You can always throw a fun party after the wedding to include everyone.Turn your elopement into a mini-moon! Even if you’re jetting off to Hawaii a week later, spend some extra time around your elopement spot to create extra memories. Andrew and I ran around Seattle a whole three days before we got married and we had the time of our lives!
