Today we have a backyard wedding that combines a little vintage look with a lot of country style. Deciding to have a wedding in the backyard takes a little planning since you have to decorate the space from top to bottom and Amy and Matt worked in hay bales, rustic wood signs and burlap to their big day. From the photographer: I love intimate backyard weddings so when Amy and Matt asked me to be a part of their day, I was thrilled. They chose their own home as their venue, which held a lot of meaning to them. The house belonged to his grandfather, who actually dug the pond beside where they were married. Matt and Amy chose to do a First Look to give themselves lots of time for photos and still be able to mingle immediately after their ceremony. We headed over to a local conservation area for their formals. Using hay bales for seating, they wed under a willow tree in front of their loved ones. Including her grandparents, who were celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary this year! Amy’s cowboy boots and the different pastels for the bridesmaids were great touches to complete her rustic country wedding. Thank you to Darling Mine for sharing this amazing wedding with us today.
