Stunning, rustic, and chic – these are just a few words we would use to describe todays real wedding. Taking place at the Connecticut barn wedding location, The Webb Barn, this wedding has effortless style and a beautiful details. From the bride: Our personality & our lifestyle was the overarching inspiration. Simple, casual, relaxed (& rustic). We don’t like a big fuss & don’t like people making a big fuss over us, we don’t prefer fancy things. We are very laid back in life, like being comfortable and just spending quality time together with close family & friends. We never envisioned an over the top big spectacle wedding. We wanted our wedding to reflect who we are in everyday life. We wanted our day to not be about us, but to be about those we love, having so much fun, in comfortable clothes, with amazing food & music, in an atmosphere that made you feel like having a cold drink on your back deck on a relaxing summer day. My mom & I bought & made all the decorations. For the rustic & simple feel, mostly everything was burlap, tan, & white, with mason jars as the staple on every table. We did a lot of research online looking at different weddings and used our favorites from each – hydration station, mason jars as the drink glasses which we tied burlap around, tree with advice tags rather than a guest book, small groups of white candles in clear votives to complement the white hydrangeas on every reception table, shepherd hooks with large mason jars filled with candles surrounding the reception area when it got dark, the centerpieces on the food, dessert & cocktail hour tables – large glass jars filled with white sand or tan rocks wrapped with burlap, the flip flop bucket…the list goes on. But each idea was pulled together and executed with my mom’s dedication – she spent just as much time as me doing research & countless hours shopping for the decor and putting it all together.
