This beautiful, intimate backyard DIY wedding took place on the couple’s own property in southern Wisconsin. Lydia Jane, the photographer shared: Guests were invited to sit by the pool, explore the property/creek, grab a glass of home-brewed beer, and set up a tent on the grounds for after the festivities. Amy and a few friends created all of the decorations, baked the desserts, thrifted the dessert platters, cake stands, table cloths, assembled the flowers into thrifted vases, and set up the ethereal dance space in the reception barn. After the reception, Amy and Tom retired to a tent next to the creek that friends had secretly assembled for them. What a special way to celebrate with family and friends. A beautiful backyard wedding filled with fun, creative DIY details set the perfect tone for this casual gathering. Colorful farm flowers mixed with succulents add a pop of color to the tables and bouquets. And what a perfect ending! A special tent decorated in secret.
